Paul Eggert 68a256c892 Update from Gnulib
Make the following changes by hand, and run 'admin/merge-gnulib'.
* .gitignore: Add lib/malloc/*.gl.h.
* admin/merge-gnulib: Copy lib/af_alg.h and lib/save-cwd.h
directly from Gnulib, without worrying about Gnulib modules,
as these files are special cases.
(AVOIDED_MODULES): Remove malloc-posix.
* lib/malloc.c, lib/realloc.c, m4/malloc.m4, m4/realloc.m4:
* m4/year2038.m4: New files, copied from Gnulib.
* lib/malloca.c, lib/malloca.h:
* m4/close-stream.m4, m4/glibc21.m4, m4/malloca.m4:
Remove. These are either no longer present in Gnulib, or are no
longer needed by modules that Emacs uses.
* oldXMenu/AddPane.c, oldXmenu/Addsel.c: Include XmenuInt.h first;
needed for new Gnulib.
* src/xmenu.c: Call emacs_abort, not abort.

/* Compare version strings:
This function compares strings S1 and S2:
1) By PREFIX in the same way as strcmp.
2) Then by VERSION (most similarly to version compare of Debian's dpkg).
Leading zeros in version numbers are ignored.
3) If both (PREFIX and VERSION) are equal, strcmp function is used for
comparison. So this function can return 0 if (and only if) strings S1
and S2 are identical.
It returns number >0 for S1 > S2, 0 for S1 == S2 and number <0 for S1 < S2.
This function compares strings, in a way that if VER1 and VER2 are version
numbers and PREFIX and SUFFIX (SUFFIX defined as (\.[A-Za-z~][A-Za-z0-9~]*)*)
are strings then VER1 < VER2 implies filevercmp (PREFIX VER1 SUFFIX,
PREFIX VER2 SUFFIX) < 0.
This function is intended to be a replacement for strverscmp. */
