* lisp/pixel-scroll.el (pixel-scroll-precision-momentum-tick):
(pixel-scroll-precision-momentum-factor): New user options.
(pixel-scroll-kinetic-state, pixel-scroll-accumulate-velocity):
Set scroll momentum ring size to 10.
(pixel-scroll-start-momentum): Improve algorithm.
The algorithm used to scroll the display kinetically is very
simple and needs improvement. Someone should work on that
eventually.
* lisp/pixel-scroll.el (pixel-scroll-precision-use-momentum):
New user option.
(pixel-scroll-precision-mode-map): Add
`pixel-scroll-start-momentum'.
(pixel-scroll-kinetic-state):
(pixel-scroll-accumulate-velocity):
(pixel-scroll-calculate-velocity): New functions.
(pixel-scroll-start-momentum): New command.
* src/xterm.c (handle_one_xevent): Fix touch-end event
generation.
* lisp/pixel-scroll.el (pixel-scroll-precision-scroll-down): Get
rid of big motion loop.
(pixel-scroll-precision-scroll-up): Stop subtracting height of
window lines.
This fixes most of the problem, but with a large image the
vscroll can sometimes jump about, which has to be fixed.
* lisp/pixel-scroll.el (pixel-scroll-precision-up): Handle
vscrolling large images in the first unseen line.
* lisp/pixel-scroll.el (pixel-point-at-unseen-line): Rewrite
to use `pixel-point-and-height-at-unseen-line'.
(pixel-point-and-height-at-unseen-line): New function.
(pixel-scroll-precision-scroll-up): Use existing logic
to determine unseen line position.
* etc/NEWS: Update NEWS entry for 'pixel-scroll-precision-mode'
* lisp/better-pixel-scroll.el: Remove file.
* src/pixel-scroll.el (x-coalesce-scroll-events): New variable
declaration.
(pixel-scroll-precision-mode-map): New variable.
(pixel-scroll-precision-scroll-down):
(pixel-scroll-precision-scroll-up):
(pixel-scroll-precision): New functions.
(pixel-scroll-precision-mode): New minor mode.

Add a paragraph to minor mode's docstring documenting the mode's ARG
usage if the supplied docstring doesn't already contain the word "ARG".
* easy-mmode.el (easy-mmode--arg-docstring): New const.
(easy-mmode--arg-docstring): New function.
(define-minor-mode): Use them.
Remove argument documentation from all minor modes.
* lisp/pixel-scroll.el (pixel-dead-time, pixel-last-scroll-time):
New variables.
(pixel-scroll-up, pixel-scroll-down): Invoke 'scroll-up' or
'scroll-down' when called within 'pixel-dead-time'. (Bug#29737)
* lisp/pixel-scroll.el (pixel-scroll-up): Do not try to move cursor
down when EOB is shown at the top. This function is reverted to
commit 1bda71ec3b. (bug#29737)
* lisp/pixel-scroll.el (pixel-scroll-up): Move cursor down

(pixel-scroll-down) Move cursor up regardless of whether BOB

Scroll vertically by number of pixels returned by

* lisp/pixel-scroll.el (pixel-resolution-fine-flag): When t, scroll
by number of pixels returned by 'frame-char-height'.
(pixel-scroll-up): Scroll by 'frame-char-height'. Fix algorithm to
move cursor to avoid unexpected jump.
(pixel-scroll-down): Scroll by 'frame-char-height'.
(pixel-bob-at-top-p): Consider number of pixels that is about to
scroll.
(pixel-posn-y-at-point): Consider existence of an overlay string.
Return nil when horizontally scrolled.
(pixel-point-at-top-p): Consider number of pixels that is about to
scroll. Use different algorithm when horizontally scrolled.
(pixel-point-at-bottom-p): Consider number of pixels that is about
to scroll. Return nil when horizontally scrolled.
(pixel-scroll-pixel-down): Move cursor when horizontally scrolled.
(pixel--whistlestop-line-up): Change cosmetics and move cursor when
horizontally scrolled.
(pixel-line-height): Call 'pixel-visual-line-height' instead of
'line-pixel-height'.
(pixel-visual-line-height): New function to return height in pixels
of text line where cursor is with or without horizontally scrolled,
considering response of display engine.
(pixel-visible-pos-in-window): New function to return position of
a char shown on text line where cursor is on screen with or without
horizontally scrolled.
Most of this change is to boilerplate commentary such as license URLs.
This change was prompted by ftp://ftp.gnu.org's going-away party,
planned for November. Change these FTP URLs to https://ftp.gnu.org
instead. Make similar changes for URLs to other organizations moving
away from FTP. Also, change HTTP to HTTPS for URLs to gnu.org and
fsf.org when this works, as this will further help defend against
man-in-the-middle attacks (for this part I omitted the MS-DOS and
MS-Windows sources and the test tarballs to keep the workload down).
HTTPS is not fully working to lists.gnu.org so I left those URLs alone
for now.
