(Xor): Remove unused function.
(ediff-with-syntax-table): Simplify for emacs.

* ediff-hook.el (menu-bar-ediff-menu): Don't depend on the
menu-bar being loaded, it always is.

changed to use a common `bytecomp' prefix.

(byte-recompile-directory, byte-compile-file, batch-byte-compile)
(batch-byte-compile-file): Give a `bytecomp-' prefix to local
variables with common names.
