for non-strings/names
* lisp/files.el (normal-mode, set-auto-mode--apply-alist): * lisp/gnus/nnimap.el (nnimap-command): * lisp/emacs-lisp/bytecomp.el (bytecomp--check-cus-type): Prefer %S over %s for arbitrary sexps and lists.
