* doc/lispref/intro.texi (Caveats): Add cross-reference to Emacs manual.
Talking about "contributing code" makes little sense in a section about
reporting mistakes in the ELisp manual, so skip that part.
Change current-time and related functions back to using the
traditional list form. Also, add a new boolean variable
current-time-list that lets people try out (TICKS . HZ) form,
with the goal of smoothing the transition.
* src/timefns.c (CURRENT_TIME_LIST): Change default back to true.
(current-time-list): New boolean Lisp variable, which defaults to
CURRENT_TIME_LIST. All uses of CURRENT_TIME_LIST changed to
use current_time_list, and all documentation changed.

The manuals often used quotes ``...'' when it is better to use @dfn or
@code or capitalized words or no quoting at all. For example, there is
no need for the `` and '' in “if a variable has one effect for
@code{nil} values and another effect for ``non-@code{nil}'' values”.
Reword the Emacs, Lisp intro, and Lisp reference manuals to eliminate
unnecessary quoting like this, and to use @dfn etc. instead when called
for (Bug#21472).
This is in preparation for generating the former automatically
from the latter.

Be more systematic about using "@." (not ".") at end of sentence that

sentences that end in a lower case letter followed by "." followed by
whitespace. Omit unnecessary use of "@:" and "@.". Similarly for "?"
and "!". Be more consistent about putting a comma after "i.e." and
"e.g."; this is the typical American style and it's easier to code in
Texinfo.
